Hello, I’m Antonella.

I’m an Italian designer and entrepreneur, and after spending more than twenty years as a Product Manager in the international fashion industry, I decided to follow my heart.

My journey with Morocco began in 2011, during my very first trip. What started as a holiday soon became a lifelong connection. Year after year I returned, discovering new landscapes, meeting extraordinary people and falling more deeply in love with the country’s culture, craftsmanship and Amazigh heritage.

In 2019, I made one of the biggest decisions of my life and moved permanently to Marrakech.

Living in Morocco changed everything.

It allowed me to experience traditions from within, build genuine relationships with local artisans and discover a world where craftsmanship is not simply a profession, but a cultural legacy passed down through generations.

Wanting to understand this heritage more deeply, I stidied a bit more Amazigh history, symbols and weaving traditions. I travelled across Morocco, visited museums, read books and spent time with artisans and weavers, learning that every textile tells a story far beyond its beauty.

Then came 2020.

While the world slowed down during the Covid pandemic, I finally found the time—and the courage—to pursue a dream I had carried within me for years.

That dream became IFULKKI.

Officially launched on January 7th, 2021—my birthday—IFULKKI brings together my Italian design background and my deep love for Morocco.

Why Amazigh Rugs?

During my travels, I became fascinated by Amazigh rugs. At first, I admired their colours and geometric beauty, then I discovered something far more meaningful: every rug tells a story.

A story woven by hand.

A story of women, families and traditions.

Its symbols speak of protection, femininity, fertility, freedom, strength, nature and hope. Every motif reflects generations of knowledge and cultural identity, patiently preserved through the hands of Amazigh women.

I realised these extraordinary textiles deserved to continue their journey.

Rather than remaining forgotten inside a home, they could become contemporary objects to be carried, loved and appreciated every day: that is the essence of IFULKKI.

The name IFULKKI means “beautiful” in the Amazigh language, for me, beauty is much more than appearance, it is craftsmanship, it is culture, it is respect.

Every IFULKKI bag is personally designed by me in Marrakech and handcrafted by skilled Moroccan artisans using carefully selected vintage Amazigh rugs and handwoven textiles.

Many of these textiles have already lived a first life. By transforming them into contemporary bags, we preserve their history while giving them a new purpose.

Because every textile is unique, every IFULKKI creation is unique too, no two bags are ever exactly the same. Each piece carries the colours, symbols and spirit of Amazigh culture, becoming much more than an accessory, it becomes a story waiting to continue with the person who chooses it.

Today, IFULKKI is more than a designer brand, it is a meeting point between Italian design and Moroccan craftsmanship, between heritage and contemporary aesthetics, between tradition and innovation.

Most of all, it is a tribute to the artisans whose talent keeps ancient traditions alive and to the beauty that can be created when cultures meet with curiosity, respect and passion.
